Local residents will honor Dothan High School’s century of contributions to the community with a celebration in April.
Dothan High’s first school year was the 1911-12 year, and to honor the high school’s centennial, a banquet will be held at the Dothan Civic Center on April 26 at 6 p.m.
Rhonda Rankin, an event organizer, said the event will bring together the community and Dothan High alumni and give them the chance to honor the school, an iconic cultural and architectural landmark for the city.
Prime rib will be served for dinner, and entertainment will be provided by 70s R&B group The Tams. Prominent Dothan High grads are also expected to speak at the event.
