I am writing in response to the Feb. 5 letter from Darryel Roberds. I respectfully disagree with his comments about Newt Gingrich.
May I suggest that Mr. Roberds take his own advice and do some research into what really happened in the witch hunt of Newt in 1997. He was cleared of the charges and did not leave in disgrace as some have said. And they who are saying he did know that it is not the truth.
Check into all the positive things that Newt, as Speaker of the House, accomplished even with Bill Clinton as President.
I would also like to add that Newt started his campaign telling what he would like to do if he were elected. Mitt Romney started the negative ads.
