OZARK — Two Ozark teenagers remained in the Dale County Jail Thursday after being charged in relation to a home invasion last week.
Wiregrass Violent Crimes and Task Force Commander Marlos Walker said Jamaree Beaty, 18, and Micheal Stanford, 18, were arrested and charged Wednesday. Walker said the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Stanford in Montgomery, while Beaty was arrested here.
According to an Ozark Police Department report, the two entered an Emma Street residence on Friday, Jan. 6, with covered faces and at least one demanded money, wallets and cell phones at gunpoint.
The report said the two went from one floor of the residence to another and grabbed a purse and other items before leaving the scene.
Authorities said Beaty’s bond was set at $270,000 and Stanford’s bond was $240,000.
The Wiregrass task force and OPD were assisted by the U.S. Marshals, Dale County District Attorney’s Office and Dale County Sheriff’s Office.
