Abbeville man charged in shooting

An Abbeville man faces felony charges after authorities charged him with a domestic-motivated shooting.

Court records indicate agents with the Henry County Sheriff’s and Abbeville Police Task Force arrested 41-year-old Henry Hasty Johnson Jr. and charged him with second-degree domestic violence involving criminal mischief first-degree and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.

Records indicate investigators charged Johnson with using a shotgun to shoot at vehicles and damage property at a residence on Henry County Road 57 South on Jan. 3.

Johnson was taken to the Henry County Jail and held on $15,000 bail for each charge.
