»  Comments | Post a Comment

Troy police recently arrested a third teenager for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a convenience store on Christmas Eve.

Court records say Troy police arrested Zachary Shaquille Harris, 17, of Pike County Road 1112, and charged him with felony first-degree robbery. According to a Troy Police statement, Harris turned himself in on Monday.

Court records indicate Troy Police also charged both Craigory Njua Newsome-Baker, 18, of Banks, and Rashaun Thomas, 17, of Troy, with felony first-degree robbery.

Records indicate police charged Baker with stealing $651 in cash at gunpoint after he entered the Z-Tech store on U.S. 231 in Troy. Records say police charged Thomas for allegedly serving as the get-away driver in the robbery. Records say police charged Harris for being a participant in the robbery since he was allegedly a passenger in the vehicle, and received some of the money.
