Slocomb man dies from injuries in weekend crash

A Slocomb man died Sunday from the injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.

According to a statement from Alabama State Trooper Greg Eubanks, 60-year-old Bruce Hall Bryant died from the injuries he suffered.

The statement said the crash happened after the 2006 Ford F150 driven by Bryant struck the rear of a 1982 Chevrolet van that was stopped a stop sign. The driver of the van, Larry Ray Baker Jr., 26, and passenger, Shannon M. Baker, 34, of Westville, Fla., were injured and taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday about two miles southwest of Rehobeth on Alabama 109 near the intersection of Houston County Road 203.
