ANDALUSIA – Headland took a big step in the Class 4A, Area 3 race with a 67-53 win at Andalusia. Dexter Marsh scored 27 with nine rebounds and three blocks. Dishon McKay scored 17 with nine rebounds and eight assists.
Jacard Townsend scored 22 for Andalusia and Joe Flowers scored 15.
Headland is now 16-7, 3-2 in area. Andalusia is 14-11, 3-3. Straughn improved to 3-3 in that area with a 47-38 win over Ashford Tuesday, which is 2-3. Ashford hosts Headland Friday night. If Headland wins, the Rams will host the area tournament, but if Ashford wins, there will be a four-way tie.
Avery Driver led Straughn with 21 points in the win over Ashford.
Rehobeth 63, Cottonwood 51: For Rehobeth (11-11), Drake Rogers scored 17, Josh Thompson 13, Corey Perkins 12 and Lamarrius Mack 11. Cameron Blanks led Cottonwood with 16 points and Billy Lewis scored 10.
Houston County 67, Providence Christian 44 : Ernest Tyson led the Lions with 26 points and Deion Moore scored 15. Darrell Payne scored 10. For Providence, Justin Peak scored 15 and Spencer Walker scored 11.
Houston Academy 76, G.W. Long 73 (OT): Chris Johnson scored 31 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out five assists as the Raiders took the victory.
G.W. Long tied it at 70-70 at the end of regulation when Chris Snell hit three free throws after being fouled from 3-point range with four seconds remaining.
Richard Howell followed Johnson in scoring for HA (11-11) with 15 points, while Gabe Sheffield and Blake Jordan each scored 10.
Marshall Childers led G.W. Long with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Robert McKinnis scored 16 with seven rebounds and Snell added 15 points.
Abbeville Christian Academy 67, Lakeside 60: Blake Richards scored 16 to lead ACA, while Austin Reeder scored 14, Chip White scored 13 with 21 rebounds and Dakota Hudson scored 12 and had 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Lakeside was led by Brady Buchan with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Mack Goff with 14 points.
Dothan 62, Pike County 43: Trey Jackson had 16 points and Ja’kee Flowers had 13 to lead Dothan (9-11).
Deandre Moore led Pike County (3-19) with 12.
New Brockton 53, Zion Chapel 36 : Chris Green led the Gamecocks with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Lamarcus Adair scored 13 for Zion Chapel.
Dale County 64, Geneva 62: For Dale County, James Crawford scored 21 with 12 rebounds and Tyler Watkins scored 15. Austin Donaldson scored 13 for Geneva and Marcus Wilson scored 10.
Brantley 58, Highland Home 32 : Terrance Bogan scored 12 and Matthew Holmes 11 for Brantley.
Wicksburg 53, Ariton 36: All nine Panthers scored, and the team was led by Austin Sellers with 20 points and Diquan Fenn with 14. Deonte Michel scored 14 for Ariton.
Georgiana 63, McKenzie 31 : Lee Curry and Keon Binion scored 16 each for Georgiania (18-4, 4-1) and Adrian Rich scored 13.
Daleville 52, Slocomb 30 : Edward Christian led Daleville (17-4, 5-1) with 10 points and CoCo Hayes nine. Antonio Davis led Slocomb with eight points. Daleville and Abbeville will flip a coin to see who hosts the area tournament.

Andalusia 63, Headland 28: Alexis Horton led Andalusia (20-2, 6-0) with 28 points. Desiree Taylor scored nine for Headland (8-12, 0-5).
Dothan 65, Pike County 26: Shatoria Jackson led Dothan with 19 points. Cidavia Hall scored 12 and Hannah Winston scored 10. Tierra Hall scored 24 for Pike County.
Providence Christian 50, Houston County 14 : For the Eagles, Brooke Segler scored 18, Elizabeth Dowd scored 16 with 11 rebounds and six steals and Mary Palm scored eight with eight rebounds and six assists.
Houston Academy 55, G.W. Long 49 : Kellie McCaffrey scored 28 for HA and Rachel Beverlye had eight points, 13 rebounds and six blocks. Madison Tidwell led Long with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Chelsey Sizemore scored 10.
Carroll 64, Enterprise 54: Kadaleus Gissendanner scored 20 points to lead the Eagles, while Oleightra Nance contributed 17 points and Brittany Moore scored 13 and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Enterprise was led by Emily Davis with 22 points and Mary Robinson with 20.
Graceville 46, Holmes County 36: Wynterra Pittman scored 14 and grabbed nine rebounds for the Tigers (12-9), while Zay Henderson scored 13.
Holmes County was led by Justice Taylor with 13 points.
Central-Hayneville 44, Goshen 36: For Goshen, Ivia Pollard scored 18 and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Jasmine Brunson contributed 14 points.
